Jean Sass graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in 1975.
He experienced his first engineer position in the French Nuclear Agency (CEA) until 1981.
From 1981 to 1988 he was hired by the European Center of Nuclear Research (CERN) as a physicist and published worldwide Scientific articles.
He joined Dassault Aviation on September the 1st 1988 as an engineer on Weapon Systems computers and networking design. He worked on real time simulations and engineering Information System environments.
During the 90’s he took the responsibility of a Division where specific technical skills were gathered to enhance digital technics uses in civilian and military systems. He was then in charge of software development harmonization in the Technical Numeric Division (DTN) and began the Product Life-cycle Management studies with Dassault Systèmes cooperation.
In 2000, when Dassault Aviation decided to fully centralize the Information System, he was appointed as the Company Deputy CIO. He was specifically in charge of the new F7X aircraft program Information System and of building up the new worldwide Falcon network.
He was appointed as Vice President, Information Systems in 2006. He is currently focusing on optimization of the processes and tools and more specifically on competitive PLM implementations for the Aircraft programs developed in Dassault Aviation.
He takes part in the System@tic Paris Region cluster to promote French abilities in digital industrial technology.
